Who we are

DISC Jax Inc. (Dudes Impacting Sober Communities) was born from lived experience and a shared passion for disc golf as a tool for healing, connection, and fun in early sobriety. What began as a few friends using the sport to stay grounded and accountable has grown into a movement—one that celebrates the journey of recovery while building community on the course.

Founded in 2024, DISC Jax Inc. brings together individuals from all walks of life who are navigating early recovery and want to connect through healthy, active, and judgment-free environments. Our flagship event is an annual charity disc golf tournament that raises funds for local recovery-based halfway houses and nonprofits, allowing us to give back while staying aligned with our mission.

We believe in meeting people where they are—with compassion, camaraderie, and a strong throw.

Run entirely by volunteers, every donation directly supports our mission. Funds are first used to create our welcoming disc golf events and remove barriers to entry by providing free gear to newcomers. Every dollar beyond that is donated directly to local Jacksonville halfway houses to support those in recovery.

We Stand For

Building Authentic Connection Recovery thrives on community. We provide a welcoming space to move from isolation to connection, forging genuine friendships and a reliable support system, one round at a time.

Healing Through Play We champion the healing power of the outdoors. For us, wellness is the feeling of fresh air, the joy of physical activity, and the sound of shared laughter on the course.

Impact Beyond the Game Our mission extends past the fairway. Every tournament and event we host helps fund local recovery programs, creating a positive ripple effect that strengthens our entire community.

A Stigma-Free Zone This is a judgment-free space. We create inclusive and shame-free opportunities where everyone is welcome to show up as they are, find acceptance, and focus on their journey of growth and healing.

Led by Lived Experience Our organization is guided by those who have walked this path. Our leaders draw from their own recovery journeys, infusing our community with authentic empathy, understanding, and wisdom.
